We had such a great experience here! The food was fresh, delicious, and there were so many choices to enjoy. The grilled meats were flavorful and tender, and I really loved being able to grill everything fresh at the table. There was also a great variety of sides, seafood, salads and desserts. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect place to go with family or friends, especially if you love Japanese BBQ and all-you-can-eat options. Definitely worth the price, and we will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommended! ❤️🥩🍣🔥

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Durham is an absolute gem! We had an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and the interactive tabletop grilling made for a fun, lively atmosphere, but what truly set this visit apart was the outstanding hospitality.The service was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and always on top of swapping out our grills and keeping our drinks filled. What made the night extra special was meeting the owner, who was incredibly patient with our group. They took the time to walk us through the menu, explain the different cuts of meat, and make sure we felt completely comfortable with the grilling process. It’s rare to see that level of care and patience, and it made us feel so welcome.We will definitely be back and highly recommend Gyu-Kaku Durham to anyone looking for great food and top-tier service!

I’ve visited different Gyu-Kaku locations around the world and the food is always amazing! From the salads and meats to the rice, ramen and desserts, everything is delicious. This Durham location is new and was already very busy when we visited, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Even though it was full, the service was amazing. The restaurant was clean, the food came out in a timely manner and everything was well organized. Gyu-Kaku is definitely one of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend it and I will definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic family dinner at Gyubee in Durham. This Japanese BBQ spot delivers a wonderful interactive grilling experience. The marinated meats are flavorful and tender, with a great variety of beef, pork, chicken and seafood options. Side dishes like kimchi, corn and fresh salads complement the grilled food perfectly. Our server was attentive, regularly changing the grill mesh and checking on us. The dining space is clean and spacious, great for family gatherings or catching up with friends. All-you-can-eat option offers solid value for meat lovers. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely come back when visiting Durham！

Went last Sunday their first day soft opening. It was very busy. Meat was very fresh and juicy. Chicken karraage with the spicy pepper was very special we even had one to go.
